If you haven’t already seen Microsoft’s so-called ‘Project Natal’ in action, check it out here. The original Xbox and the 360 were essentially me-too products that thrived due to an easy-to-learn development platform and a solid online component, but with Project Natal MS is actually pushing technology, gaming, and even user interface forward. If the final product works as well as it does in the video (which frankly is a little hard to believe), they’re really on to something.

The only issue I see with this is that a lot of folks look at gaming as a way to sit down, relax, and unwind. I am not sure my idea of relaxing includes having to do spinning back kicks in my living room just to play a fighting game?
I think products like the Wii Fit are bought like many diet/exercise products — with good intentions. I think you need to after the party game market like Rock Band did and then it could work pretty well.
